For this activity:
- Using the given letters, children fill in the boxes as they phonetically sound out each word.
- For more confident spellers, cover up the letters and ask the child to attempt the spelling independently.
- Then uncover the letters and let them check to see if they have used all of the letters in their spelling.
- For an extra challenge, use Christmas words in a game of hangman to reinforce spellings.
