For this activity:
- For the jack-o-lantern you will need: glue, a toilet roll, orange, green, black, brown and green paper.
- Cover the roll by gluing on the orange paper.
- Cut out the black paper to make eyes, nose and a mouth. Cut out leaves from the green paper and a stem from the brown. Glue onto the roll.
- For the monster, you will need: a toilet roll, green paper, googly eyes, black maker and glue.
- Cover the toilet roll with green paper.
- Glue on the eyes and use a black marker to draw the mouth, hair and scar.
- For the ghost, you will need: a toilet roll, white and black paper, white tissue paper, googly eyes and glue.
- Cover the toilet roll by gluing on the white paper. Stick on the mouth and googly eyes.
Halloween Bat Bookmark

For this activity:
- You will need: square black paper, googly eyes, white teeth, black wings, scissors and glue.
- Fold the square into a triangle.
- Fold both side corners of the triangle to meet the top point.
- Unfold back into a large triangle. Take the top corner of the triangle (only the top layer) and fold down to meet the bottom of the triangle.
- Take one side corner, fold it back in tuck behind the front flap.
- Fold the other side corner and tuck behind the front flap.
- Attach the bat wings with glue to the back of the bookmark.
- Glue on the googly eyes and teeth.
- Enjoy using your Halloween bat bookmark on your favourite book!
Jack-o-Lantern Stick Puzzle

For this activity:
- You will need: lolly sticks, orange marker or paint, black marker, cellotape.
- Colour the lolly sticks orange.
- Line up the sticks side-by-side and tape them together.
- Flip over the sticks and draw a jack-o-lantern pattern covering all of the lolly sticks. Add numbers on the top for counting practice. You can also spell out the word “Halloween” at the top as well.
- Take off the tape and muddle up the sticks.
- Have fun putting the jack-o-lantern back together!
Ghost Handprint Decoration
This Halloween handprint ghost is a fun and easy-to-make decoration. Make it each year and see how the ghost grows!
For this activity:
- You will need: black paper, white paint, paint brush and scissors.
- Using a paint brush, spread white paint over your child’s palm.
- Press palm firmly down onto black paper.
- Let the handprint dry.
- Cut around the handprint and add black dots for eyes.
- Hang up your handprint ghost as part of your Halloween decorations!

For this activity:
- You will need: coloured paper – black, orange, red, green and yellow, glue and markers.
- On slips of paper, write out the names of the shapes you will focus on: semi-circle, triangle, rectangle, circle and oval.
- Cut out these shapes needed using the coloured paper .
- Spread out the papers and group them together based on shape. Look at each shape and point out how many sides, how many corners, how many curved edges? Name each shape.
- Match the name with the shape and create the witch’s face.
Apple Stamp Halloween Decoration

- You will need: half an apple, black and yellow paint, paint brush, black marker and white paper.
- Cover the cut side of the apple in black paint.
- Stamp the apple half onto white paper. Fill in any gaps with black paint and brush.
- Draw bat wings using black marker.
- Paint the wings black.
- Add eyes using yellow paint. Cut out and hang up your bat.

Halloween Doughnut Spiders

For this activity:
- You will need: 6 small round doughnuts, curved pretzels, Reese Pieces or M&Ms, melted chocolate (to attach eyes).
- Cut each doughnut in half.
- Break off each curved side of the pretzels, 8 for each spider. Carefully press the pretzel curves into the top of the doughnut halves to create legs for the spider.
- Melt the chocolate and dap a small circle on the back of the Reese Pieces or M&Ms and attach to the spider’s eyes.
