Fine Motor Skills Name Making

Fine motor skills are the foundation of so many learning activities. Develop skills by spelling-out a name or other focus word using sweets or chocolates.

Instructions:

  1. Find a bag of sweets or chocolates (or any other small objects).
  2. Find some paper, preferably coloured, and write the child’s name (or focus word) in large letters with a marker.
  3. Ask the child to carefully place the sweets/chocolates/objects on the lines, tracing the letters.
  4. When they have finished, ask them to count how many objects it took to cover their name.
