Gratitude allows kids to have more self control, generosity, self worth and happiness! For this activity:
- You will need: coloured lolly sticks (orange, yellow, purple, blue, red) and a bag. If you can’t find coloured lolly sticks, use plain ones and paint them the appropriate colours.
- Place coloured sticks in a bag and jumble them.
- Ask your child to choose one stick and according to the colour code, they can express their own concept of gratitude in simple terms.
- Make sure that you take a turn as well, modelling gratitude is the best way to teach it!
