An alphabet maze is a fun way to practise the order of the alphabet as well as recognising uppercase and lowercase letters.

For this activity:

1. You will need: paper and markers.
2. Create an alphabet maze for children to complete. Decide if you want to focus on lowercase letters only, uppercase letters only or both.
3. The image displays a maze using both lowercase and uppercase letters. Begin writing the letters of the alphabet, uppercase first followed by the lowercase version scattered on the paper, keeping the connecting letters close together. Continue until all the letters are visible.
4. Challenge your child to use a marker to connect the alphabet starting with “A” connecting to “a”, continuing on to “B” and then “b”. Keep working through the maze until coming to z!
