This Valentine's Day themed maths activity is a fun and easy way to practise number recognition and simple addition from 2 to 12.

Materials:
- 2 dice
- Coloured paper and markers
- 11 Valentine’s chocolates, sweets or other items that will fit inside the hearts
Instructions:
- On the coloured paper draw hearts with the numbers 2 – 12 written inside each one.
- Roll the two dice and add the numbers together. Find this number on the board and cover it with a chocolate or sweet.
- Continue rolling the dice until all of the hearts are covered.
