For this activity:

1. Print the worksheet and find some colouring pencils.
2. Calculate the answer to the question in each petal. If the answer is equal to the number in the middle of the flower, colour the petal. Otherwise, leave it blank. 
3. For younger children, encourage the use of physical manipulatives such as blocks or dry pasta shapes to help with adding and subtracting. Older children can use number lines, fingers or mental maths strategies to calculate the correct answer.
