For this activity:
- Break off pieces of play dough and make sure the pieces are quite small and soft.
- Roll the play dough into small balls using the thumb and index finger. This can be a challenging fine motor skill to master, but it is well worth it.
- Draw circles on a whiteboard or piece of paper and ask the child to place the play dough balls into the middle of each circle.
- As the child progresses, challenge them to a timed session – how long does it take to fill all of the circles? See if they can beat their time each session.
