Play Dough Shapes

Shape recognition is an important early learning goal. It is important to find fun ways of playing with shapes. Play dough is the perfect material to use!

For this activity:

Use play dough to create objects using regular shapes.
As an example, you can create a watermelon: triangle + half moon + circles = watermelon.
Shapes are easier to remember when they can be related to a real life object.
Have a look in your kitchen to find other foods that can be represented with common shapes.
