Play Dough Numbers
Finding fun ways of practising the shape of numbers is important for keeping kids engaged. Play dough can be a fun way to represent the shapes of numbers.

For this activity:
- Writing on a whiteboard is a great way to allow your child to experiment with the shape of numbers.
- Use printed number cards as a guide and practise writing the number shapes first.
- When the child if confident with the number shape, use play dough or clay to form the number shapes.
- Start with large size fonts and, as your child progresses, slowly shrink the size of the number.
- Practise naming the number as you make the shape.
