Making Easy Sticker Patterns

Making sticker patterns is a fun way to encourage concentration, classification skills and fine motor abilities.

Following patterns can be a tricky task for early learners. With variations in shape, size and colour, there is a lot to focus on! This fun sticker activity will:

  • Practise classifying objects by shape, size and colour.
  • Increase attention span and focus.
  • Enhance hand-eye coordination.

For this activity:

  1. Find pre-made stickers in different shapes and colours or make your own.
  2. Create a line of stickers using a variety of shapes and colours. Ask your child to replicate the pattern on a line underneath.
  3. Use a sorting tray so they can sort out the stickers by shape or colour to help classify them.
  4. When they are finished, challenge them to make a sticker pattern that you can try to copy.
