Following patterns can be a tricky task for early learners. With variations in shape, size and colour, there is a lot to focus on! This fun sticker activity will:
- Practise classifying objects by shape, size and colour.
- Increase attention span and focus.
- Enhance hand-eye coordination.
For this activity:
- Find pre-made stickers in different shapes and colours or make your own.
- Create a line of stickers using a variety of shapes and colours. Ask your child to replicate the pattern on a line underneath.
- Use a sorting tray so they can sort out the stickers by shape or colour to help classify them.
- When they are finished, challenge them to make a sticker pattern that you can try to copy.
