These cards are a great way to learn times tables because they are hands-on and versatile. Laminate them if possible, so they last longer. With younger children, start with the 2s, 5s and 10s timetables.
Three different ways to use the cards:
1. Spread out the question and answer cards on separate sides of the table. Use a timer and see how quickly your child can correctly match the cards. Continue to practise and try to beat their best time.
2. Spread out the answers on the table and keep the questions in an envelope. Pull out one question at a time and try to match it with the correct answer. How fast can you do it?
3. Use the answer cards to skip count and learn the multiples by putting them in the correct order. Recite them multiple times. At random, choose an answer and ask your child to think of the question which matches.
